The BPM and SOA markets still have a great growth potential and Atos understands that by having a solid BPM vision we will be able to help our customers to become more agile and adaptive, meeting market challenges.
BPM is a key element to address the challenges ahead for the definition of a new adaptive and agile service delivery model (SaaS, Cloud, etc), including through our High Technology Transactional Services (HTTS) business.
Atos's methodology helps organizations rationalize and standardize its processes, while creating reusable process repositories. It addresses process governance issues and creates the foundation for further business process improvement initiatives such as:

We understand that BPM neither is a functional issue nor about how to build workflows solutions, BPM is more than that. BPM is a discipline that must cover the whole process life-cycle. BPM is a marriage of business, technology and management.
Here we offer a comprehensive BPM approach covering people, processes and technology. Our consultants have extensive knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, BSC and TQM methodologies and use others like Kaizen or Hammer and Company in some concrete projects. An initial stage allows our consulting teams to help you define an overall BPM strategy/vision and to focus their knowledge on your business needs.
This is then followed by four main phases: Analysis and Optimization, Design and Development, Process execution and Monitoring and Management.
Business Process Lifecycle Management
Atos has developed its own BPM methodology called Business Process Lifecycle Management (BPLM) to enhance our “pure” BPM approach. This offers an unique high-value extensible approach to analyzing and modeling critical business processes.
BPLM is an Atos methodology that leverages business process structure and content across multiple solutions and communities of use (business management, finance, IT, HR/Training, purchasing, outsource partners), from requirements management, through configuration management, test management, training, change management, and more. It introduces a set of tools and methods into the design, simulation, execution, monitoring, analysis, and optimization of automated work processes.
Atos can assist clients with both the creation and the ongoing change management of their business process asset. Each of the BPLM-associated disciplines (Business Process Analysis/Modeling, Model-Based Testing and Training, Configuration Management, Application Configuration/Development) has both on-shore and off-shore (primarily in India) fulfillment capabilities.
A typical mix would be roughly a 70:30 Front Office/Back Office ratio for the creation of the asset, and a 20:80 ratio for the ongoing change management and continuous improvement of the asset, ensuring both an initial and an on-going return on investment.
